Job Description
Job Title: Sales & Customer Relations Assistant
Hours and salary: FT 35 hours a week £18,000 per annum (plus bonus scheme up to £2000 pa dependent on performance)
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Purpose of the Post
  • To support the sales of Active Minds activity products to individuals and care homes
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Acquisition of new customers
  • Managing customer relationships
  • Order processing
Acquisition of new customers:
  • Calling care homes to set up meetings
  • Chasing leads to develop new customer relationships
  • Working with the Operations Manager to review marketing materials and develop new marketing ideas
Managing customer relationships:
  • Answering customer queries via email and telephone
  • Building relationships with customers so that they feel valued and have the opportunity to feedback
  • Dealing sensitively with enquiries and respecting confidentiality
  • Updating CRM
Order Processing
  • The timely processing of orders
  • Research and input into new systems and processes for ordering
Any other duties that the role may reasonably require.
Terms & Conditions
Hours: 9.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £18,000 pa pro rata + up to £2,000 through bonus scheme
Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays and extra days at Christmas
Pension: We are not currently enrolled in a pension scheme but plan to be in the future
Location: Office based at 74 Rivington Street, London, EC2A 3AY, with travel throughout the UK
Personal Specification

Qualifications
Essential:
  • GCSE English & Maths (grade A*to C)
  • Degree qualified at 2:1 or above, or other relevant experience
Experience
Essential:
  • Proven sales experience - either telesales, door-to-door, or fundraising
  • Experience of handling customer enquiries via face-to-face, email and telephone
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Administration experience
Desirable:
  • Order processing
Skills (the ability to)
Essential:
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly numerate and comfortable working with the team to help generate sales forecasts
  • Deliver accurate work to a good standard, and show attention to detail
  • Prioritise tasks and work to agreed timescales
  • Manage self and own responsibilities
