Internal Account Manager / Product Specialist in Reading

Type: Permanent
Salary: £20,000 - £22,500pa plus realistic earnings of £15,000 commission a year

We are now in a fortunate position to recruit an internal Sales Specialists based in Reading. 
This function is to support the existing Business Development managers who are customer facing, our Client Directors and their teams who manage our existing client base and our alliance partners and customers, encouraging them to purchase all their IT requirements from one source.

The role involves working as part of the Partner Technology team supplying quotations to customers, alliances and supporting the Partner Technology BDM's and Client Directors. The candidate may well be pursuing a career as Professional Sales person and would this as a development opportunity.

Job Description

- To respond to Client and Alliance's requests for IT quotations.
- To follow up quotations and to ensure we present an accurate and competitive bid.
- Work alongside technical support team for design and consultancy.
- Maintain technical competencies for key vendors.
- To convert quotations to orders and then monitor progress of the order to fulfillment.
- To assist the account teams to create, modify and update client pricing tools to ensure timely response to client quote request
- Completion of client quote requests raised on the company to contractual SLA 
- Liaise with bid and procurement teams (UK and global) to co-ordinate pricing requests for non-standard / outside contract pricing requests 
- Understanding Supplier contracts and flagging non compliance either by us or the Supplier if observed 
- Work with Vendor pricing tools
- Know where to go to get products and prices
- Work together with the Sales Order Management team to ensure that speedy resolution of order, delivery and invoice queries is achieved via the appropriate channels 
- Ensure that management is updated on any risks identified during the course of normal client business

- Experience of SAP.
- Capability to understand, consider and use different pricing models through good numeracy skills & effective use of Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment, share knowledge and support other team members

Requirement (Training provided)

- Graduate level qualification ( desirable ) 
- Knowledge of major IT/communications vendors
- Good computer literacy eg microsoft office, XL, SAP, CRM
